Acupuncture

ICBC Acupuncture

ICBC pre-approves 12 acupuncture treatments within the first 12 weeks post-accident, with direct billing available. Additional treatments can be requested if needed. If your ICBC claim is open but beyond the initial 12 weeks, please email your claim number and adjuster鈥檚 email to expedite the process of applying for further treatments.

Community Acupuncture

Community acupuncture takes place in a warm, communal setting with great vibes. Needling is typically done from the elbows down and knees down, so wear loose clothing or bring a change of clothes. Think of it like sharing a sauna at your favorite cold plunge spot鈥攂ut here, we鈥檙e targeting specific ailments you may have. Plus, it鈥檚 claimable through your work benefits!

Michael Hanes

Michael is a registered acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. Blending ancient Eastern wisdom with modern anatomical science and research, Michael鈥檚 approach delivers comprehensive care.

With extensive experience in pain management and injury treatment, Michael skillfully integrates:

路 Acupuncture 路 Electro-acupuncture 路 Trigger point and motor point therapy 路 Manual techniques (cupping, soft tissue fascial release, gua sha) 路 Nervous system regulation 路 Hormone balancing

His dedication extends beyond his Vancouver practice. Michael has volunteered at a Nepalese clinic, treating local farmers, and worked in New York providing free treatments for mental health and addiction.
